The Overview
In 2020, as live events were paused due to the pandemic, Splashy Fen and Icily TV teamed up to reinvent one of South Africa’s most iconic music festivals.
They launched the Splashy Fen Locked In Live, a three-day virtual festival featuring a carefully curated lineup of local artists. The performances were
streamed live to fans around the world during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Challenge
Lockdown Live presented several unique challenges for Icily TV. Due to the restrictions and unpredictability of the lockdown environment, remote production and real-time delivery became essential. Ensuring seamless connectivity with a distributed team and managing live feeds from various locations tested the limits of both equipment and communication. The Solution

We also introduced engaging activities such as yoga classes and breathing exercises, providing viewers with a much-needed break and promoting well-being during the stressful lockdown period.
