The Challenge
The Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships brought with it the high-energy excitement of global competition but also unique technical challenges. With the event taking place in a remote location, live timing integration was tricky and reliable infrastructure was limited. Real-time production had to be both agile and precise. On top of that, post-event content needed to be delivered quickly, with high-quality commentary layered over fast-paced race edits a task that’s notoriously difficult once the dust has settled and riders have gone home.
The Solution
Icily TV deployed a workflow that allowed for smart, live-time content packaging. Using DaVinci Resolve on-site, the post-production team began building out the timeline while the event was still underway. As races wrapped, footage was dropped directly into the project, allowing editors to stay one step ahead. By the end of the event, the full highlight timeline was already structured and ready for voiceover. This meant that commentary could be recorded and layered in almost immediately, drastically cutting down turnaround time.
